D-EYE Showcases Smartphone-Based Digital Ophthalmoscope

Modern day ophthalmoscope, capable of capturing images and video of the posterior of the eye, exhibiting at Booth 510

SEATTLE, Wash. – April 18, 2016 – D-EYE, innovative pioneer and leader of advanced devices for mass health screenings and data analytics, is pleased to announce its presence at this year’s Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) Conference in Seattle, Washington. The company will showcase its smartphone-based retinal imaging system at the Washington State Convention Center, May 1-5, at Booth 510.

“We are pleased to share the strides we have made in the medical community. Over the past year, we have connected with a multitude of healthcare professionals and have also partnered with medical schools which are conducting studies to evaluate the use of D-EYE in their areas of expertise,” said D-EYE CEO, Richard Sill. “ARVO is another wonderful opportunity for us to connect with the vision industry and share the potential D-EYE holds for the future of telehealth.”

The low cost smartphone-based digital ophthalmoscope simply attaches to iOS and Android devices, positioned over the phone’s camera lens and LED light source, which enables the phone to capture high-definition video and still images of the posterior of the eye for healthcare professionals to examine.

The upcoming debut of D-EYE’s ImageVault™, a HIPAA-compliant “mobile-to-cloud” platform, will allow for workflow management, sharing and archiving D-EYE videos, still images and corresponding data for instant access by ophthalmologists, optometrists, general practitioners and other medical specialists, facilitating wide-spread eye screening from anywhere.
